SUNY Cortland has had the most nationally successful men's and women's intercollegiate athletics program in New York over the past ten years. It is one of only six colleges and universities in the U.S. to have finished every year among the Top 20 NCAA Division III programs. It is ranked in 100 Best Values in Public Education in 2007 by Kiplinger’s. Cortland also has one of the largest undergrad physical education programs in the US and is the largest teacher education program in the Northeast.
